JEDD DE LUCIA

Jedd de Lucia started his career as a scenic designer, working freelance for nearly 10 years for various companies around the country. He has designed productions on every level of theatre and for many forms, including drama, musical theatre, live event production, children’s and youth theatre, opera, film, touring and educational shows. In addition to being a scenic designer, Jedd has also worked as a carpenter, electrician and a technician and he is an accomplished scenic artist. Jedd has worked for the Huntington Theatre Company, Mystic Scenic Studios, American Repertory Theatre, Theatre IV, Company of Fools, Theatre by the Sea, the Vermont Repertory theatre and many others. Jedd has also worked as a Production Manager for many companies, working with designers, directors, actors and administrative staff to manage and fuse all of the aspects of the art form that are necessary to mount a successful production. Before joining the Shalleck Collaborative in 2007, Jedd was the Production Manager for the Marin Theatre Company, a member of LORT, the League of Resident Theatres. Working as a designer, a technician and production manager has given Jedd a broad perspective, which he brings to theatre consulting. Since joining the Shalleck Collaborative Jedd has worked on a range of projects including:

With these and other projects, Jedd is able to draw from his past experiences. As a designer, he understands what it takes to create a successful environment on stage and a successful experience for the audience. As a technician and artisan, he understands what it takes to make a production take life on stage. As a manager, he understands all of the workings of a successful organization and what it really means to open a show. This experience allows him to bring practical solutions to any project, creating successful facilities on both sides of the curtain.References are available upon request.
