Active Learning at Texas A&M

Theater and AV consulting for Texas A&M University Innovative Learning Classroom Building lecture hall

Texas A&M University Innovative Learning Classroom Building
College Station, TX

Building on lessons learned from Oregon State University’s LINC project, the Innovative Learning Classroom Building at Texas A&M reimagines general education with flexible, student-centered learning environments. The facility includes a range of instructional spaces—from immersive, 600-seat lecture halls designed in the round to smaller, 72-seat active learning studios—supporting a broad mix of teaching styles and pedagogical goals.

The Shalleck Collaborative provided AV design assist and full consulting services for presentation lighting and fixed seating across these spaces. Our work focused on enhancing visibility, comfort, and technological integration to support dynamic, high-impact learning experiences at scale.
