Jill brings more than two decades of experience in theatre consulting and production to her work at The Shalleck Collaborative, where she has been a key member of the team since 2015. Specializing in theatre rigging design, she combines deep technical expertise with a practitioner’s understanding developed through years of hands-on production work in professional venues along the East Coast.

A graduate of Florida State University with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology, Jill began her career working in theatre production and as an Assistant Technical Director, experience that continues to inform her practical approach to planning flexible seating platforms and innovative rigging systems.

Based in the firm’s Portland, Oregon office, Jill has helped shape numerous performance spaces across the Pacific Northwest and throughout the United States. She is particularly experienced in construction documentation and rigging design, supporting projects from early planning through installation. During construction, she works directly with contractors and related trades, including structural steel, fire protection, and miscellaneous metals, helping teams resolve complex field conditions and keep projects moving forward.
